safe and healthy homes

our programme

every family deserves a safe, healthy place to call home

Yet many vulnerable households in Hong Kong — older adults living alone, low‑income families, people with disabilities, and residents of ageing or subdivided units — struggle with unsafe or unhealthy housing conditions that directly impact their wellbeing.

Our Safe and Healthy Homes Programme provides critical, practical support to households in need. Through a combination of renovation, repairs, deep cleaning, pest control, decluttering, Ageing‑in‑Place home modifications, and essential furniture upgrading or installation, we help families create safer, healthier, and more dignified living environments.

why it matters

a safe home is more than four walls

It protects people from injury, reduces health risks, and restores a sense of stability and pride. Simple improvements, such as grab bars that prevent falls, proper lighting, mould removal, or a clean and organised space, can dramatically improve daily life for older residents.

For families with children, a healthier home means better sleep, better study environments, and better long‑term development. For vulnerable individuals, it can be life‑changing.

what we do

our services

Every home is different, so every project is too. We combine the services below to match what each household needs most.

modification

Ageing in Place

Our team assesses each elderly resident’s home for their ageing needs, then installs grab bars, bedside light switches, D‑shaped handles and other assistive fittings so they can keep living safely and independently in the home they know.

decluttering

Decluttering

Years of accumulated belongings can block walkways, hide hazards and create fire risks in a small flat. Working gently and with the resident’s consent, our volunteers help sort, clear and reorganise so the home becomes safe to move around in again.

cleaning

Deep Cleaning

Together with local NGO and social enterprise partners, we deep clean kitchens, bathrooms and living spaces for residents who are unable to do so themselves, reducing mould, bacteria and health risks while showing them that the community cares.

Furniture Installation

A sturdy bed, a proper table to eat and study at, or storage that keeps belongings off the floor can change daily life. We supply and install essential furniture, replacing broken or unsafe pieces so every family member has a place to rest and work.

pest control

Pest Control Services

Bed bugs, cockroaches and rodents thrive in ageing buildings and subdivided units, disrupting sleep and spreading disease. We arrange professional pest treatment and follow‑up so families can finally rest in a home that is clean and healthy.
